A weekend of camping with Christine, Chris, Glenn and Hila in the New Forest started poorly with his arrival nicely timed after sunset - try putting a tent up in the dark and see what we mean.
Thanks however to the fine BBQing skills of his splendid chums his mood was much improved and even more so as they set of cycling the next day through the woods. It is fair to say that cycling is not his natural activity (he last cycled 10 years ago and stopped when his bike was nicked (much to his relied)) and his good cheer was tested to the max when he managed to get lost but the physical activity gave him a good feeling about himself.
Of course all good things come to an end and so Sunday dawned with a storm - try taking down a tent in a monsoon and see what we mean.

As a regular and long time reader, it hurts me to say that, in my opinion, the blog has become a little...lacking in excitement of late.
Let's try and sex it up a little bit shall we? - more stories of drunken escapades, loose women and moral turpitude are required if my interest is to be maintained into a fourth year.
