Interesting town, to say the least. It is fair to record that the Americans do one thing very well and that is grand monuments and overawing government buildings and if that is what you want from a city then Washington is definitely the place to go.
It is also strangely soulless probably as a result of it being the most political city since ancient Athens. Nevertheless a genuinely fun time (thanks to all he met) and certainly he has plenty of architectural photos to look back on,
